Original era photography. 1840's cased double Daguerreotype. Presumably husband and wife. 1/6 plates. The first open reveals a woman in a white bonnet seated with her arms crossed. Very clear image. When you flip the side a man with tinted cheeks, dark tie, striped vest, white shirt, checkered pants and black dress coat. Also has his arms crossed and is seated. Very clear image. Both are in one case and an uncommon one. Memory's Leaflet on the spine. One closure in the center. Looks like a leather bound book when closed. Flower and scroll which matches on both sides.
