Original era manufacture. All wood construction drum canteen which is bound with three strands of iron wire, which has been twisted into loops to act as supports for the canteen strap. Blue painted body with a stenciled RA on one side for Regiment of Artillery. The canteen body is sound, no splits or cracks, with a very pleasing patina finish.
