Original era manufacture. Green canvas haversack or knapsack with a stenciled US on the flap. Early lace-on, round bottom meatcan pouch attached to the flap. Early style shoulder straps with the applied fabric edging. MILLS marked on the reverse and dated 1912.  Light age and wear no damage.
