Original era manufactuer. Last pattern of the McKeever box in brown leather with 20 canvas loops on the interior for ammunition. Maker marked on an inside panel ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1904, with faint unit marks on the outside for a Coastal Artillery unit. The leather is a bit stiff but the stitching is sound and there is no rot in evidence. Bit of wear around the closure tab hole.
