Original era manufacture. A very fine example with its original red-white-blue silk ribbon. Maker marked on the reverse of the ribbon suspension bar, Bailey Banks & Biddle Philadelphia with a 1900 date. This was a short-lived organization which joined with other groups to form the United Spanish War Veterans association in 1904. The collectors reference "American Society Medals" by Biship & Elliott lists it as scarce
