Original era manufacture. Scarce, early production 1910 pattern canteen, featuring an aluminum body without side seams, unmarked, with an aluminum wire collar holding the cap chain. Unmarked aluminum cup with a folding alloy handle. Green canvas canteen body with rimless eagle securing straps, and stenciled unit markings for Company L, 20th Infantry. The cover is maker marked R.I.A. 1915. The canteen is missing it's cap cork, with minor denting to the body. The cup is dent free. The cover displays strong colors and clear markings with typical staining from service use. The right side snap button has pulled out of the cover ear, it can still be mounted in place for display.
