Original era manufacture. A very sound example with a bright finished blade in original polish with clear Springfield Arsenal markings, SA, and date of 1907. The blade exhibits minor staining and toning from age with a touch of corrosion pitting. Evidence of an old sharpening attempt, with scratching to the blade surface.Minor marring to the wood grips with original finish, no cracks or chips in the surface, brass pommel cap, with a S-shaped brass guard.Sound, dark leather bodied scabbard with some scuffing to the leather surface, marked and dated at the bottom reverse, Rock Island Arsenal 1912. Krag style hanger with a blue steel finish.
