Original era manufacture. A very nice example of this handsome old tool. Heavy duty, bright steel, curved bolo blade which is U.S. marked and dated 1912. Light clouding to the surface but no corrosion pitting. There are a few shallow nail-catchers in the edge, more felt than seen. Brass patina S-shaped guard, turned wood grip with finger grooves, no chips or cracks. Matching condition leather scabbard with a Krag-type belt hook, marked and dated Rock Island Arsenal 1912.
