Original era manufacture. Brass mounted bolo knife adopted for use by the US Army Medical Corps. The blade has a luster to the surface but shows even graying overall. It shows arsenal sharpening with no nicks in the cutting edge. The wooden grip is sound with no cracks or chips, pleasing brass patina to its guard and pommel top. The leather scabbard is Rock Island Arsenal marked and dated 1912. There is some scattered surface drying to the leather but the stitching remains tight. Standard Krag-style hanging loop.
