Original period manufacture. What a nice old bayonet, made by the less common of the two arsenals to boot! Bright finish, original polish blade, made by R.I.A. in 1906, no serial number. As with the Afghan rug weavers who purposefully make an error in their weaving, as only God can be perfection, this blade exhibits two very small chips in the edge, about an inch apart, and five inches back from the point. Original blue finish to the guard and pommel, original finish walnut grips in beautiful condition. R.I.A. marked leather scabbard body, 1907 dated, with the inspectors initials of EEB. Sound stitching throughout, blue finish to the Krag type hanger and scabbard throat. We were a little overpriced on this, so we decided to knock it down a bit because of the edge nicks.
