Original era manufacture. An extremely scarce USMC issue cover, which shows considerable wear and use.Faint USMC stencil on the front of the cover, with two Marine pattern button snap covers. The reverse of the cover displays fraying and wear to the corners of the flaps, and fraying to the top of the canvas loop which secures the M1910 belt hook.It's a pity about the wear, however the remainder of the canvas is quite sound for display, and, it's one of the most difficult of the early canteen covers to source.
