Original era manufacture. This is just a great old uniform set from the early years of Scouting. The uniform consists of a blouse with an assortment of 24 original sewn Merit Badges on the sleeves, a red cotton tie, skirt with two front pockets, 1934 dated Merit Badge manual and a yellow cotton neckerchief. Terri thinks the size is about a 5. Overall the set is in very clean condition, but does show some light staining on a shoulder and some scattered minor snags and tears. The fabric is very sound, no dry rot and the uniform presents itself very well. The Girl Scouts were established in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, after her meeting with the founder of the Boy Scouts, Robert Baden-Powell, in 1911.
