Original period manufacture. Pinback DI, made by NS Meyer. Please note, the enamel is free from damage, the thin brass reflection is just that, a reflection, not damage. Formed in 1931, it was designated the 8th Fighter Group in 1942. During WWII it served in the Southwest Pacific, being base originally in Australia, and ended the war at Ie Shima Airfield on Okinawa.
