Original period manufacture. Enameled obverse with a screw post reverse. Formed in 1922 as the 9th Observation, re-designated the 9th Bombardment Group in 1935. Served in the Pacific Theater during WWII, earning a Distinguished Unit Citation in 1945. Please note, the white blob in the black field is merely a reflection of our light, not damage to the enamel. Normal age and wear.
