Original era manufacture. A fairly complete uniform grouping, representing a long-serving Army NCO. Using original uniform components, this was assembled for display/wear for Living History programs in Arizona, as the 2nd US Cavalry served in Arizona just prior to December 7th 1941.The grouping consists of an enlisted visor hat, which was rebuilt with the addition of a new liner and sweatband, while retaining its original front and rear chinstraps for mounted use. The visor is cracked in the center. Issue, four pocket service coat with all buttons, and a handmade 2nd Cavalry SSI on the left shoulder, with an impressive array of service and overseas stripes on the left sleeve. Original 2nd Cavalry regiment DI's on the collar points, with golden yellow wool backed enlisted collar insignia.Issue tan cotton enlisted shirt with an additional handmade 2nd Cavalry SSI and Staff Sergeant chevrons.Issue quality OD wool mounted breeches, complete with their original lacing, and free of moth damage. Handmade garrison belt with an original brass, single prong buckle. The coat size is a 38 regular, and free of moth damage. The breeches have a 34 inch waistband, and 27.5 inch inseam. The belt measures 40 inches overall, and 36 inches to the last adjusting hole. The hat is a size 7 1/2.
