Original era manufacture. A prewar quality hat of OD doeskin wool top, with a light OD basket weave design band. Yellow silk lining with an intact sweat shield, size marked 7 3/8. Deluxe quality brand hat by B.S.&S. Biltmore. Very nice brown leather visor with a bound edge, adjustable front chinstrap, with a mounted type adjustable chinstrap in the back. Both straps are secured by NYNG gilded brass buttons. The hat is not crushed, no moth issues to report, the only issues are that the sweatband is coming loose in the back, and there is a lightly faded spot on the right rear edge. Named on the underside of the sweatband to V. Hendershott.
