Original era publication. An interesting early collector's reference, written by a former USMC officer, Charles Edward Chapel and published in 1939, 4th printing.HB, with dust jacket, 231 pages with glossary and index, text with nice quality black and white plates.The book is generally sound, showing normal handling and wear, with tears to the original dust jacket. Interesting in that one chapter is devoted to making a profit selling guns. This was Lieutenant Chapel's first published work, and we went on to publish other books and many, many magazine articles before his death in 1967.
