Original era manufacture. Standard pattern sword with a triple etched blade pre-1941 pattern eagle on the pommel, where the eagle's head looks to it's left. The chrome finished, triple-etched blade measures 28 inches in length, running straight and true. . Etched into the blade at the time of it's manufacture, is the name Carl F. Reynolds USN, no sharpening, nicks or corrosion pitting. On the obverse, towards the point and extending back to the end of the etched panel is some frosting to the surface. Gilded brass guard and pommel, fish skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Original gold wire sword knot wrapped around the grip. Doing a quick look on Ancestry shows numerous listings with this name in the 1930's.
