Original era manufacture. US WWI, M1917 steel helmet shell, with a very nicely done US Navy paint finish on it's exterior.From the estate of a long-time collector, and living history participant in Southern California. The handpainted 1st Class Petty Officer emblem is very well done. No liner or chinstrap. There is some rust applied to it for authenticity, but the paint job likely is only 20-30 years old.
