Original era manufacture. A nice old medal with its original wrap brooch and planchet.  Period engraving on the reverse of the planchet, William Hoffman 1931.Doing a quick look on Fold.3 website, a William Hoffman, with no middle name or initial,  was aboard the USS Chew during the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7th, 1941. Good research potential, the ribbon is lightly frayed but sound.
