Original period manufacture. Large style pillow cover measuring 31 inches side to side. Made in two equal sized stitched panels of gold and blue wool felt, with individually sewn blue wool felt letters and numbers. Printed silk flag, with an internal border of yellow silk ribbon. No moth issues, very clean condition. The 12th New York served on the Rio Grande in Texas, and suffered the loss of several soldiers to accidents and disease.
