Original era manufacture. Double sided banner measuring 11.5 x 16 inches with a fringed bottom edge, and three brass suspension grommets at the top edge. Multi-color silk-like material with golden yellow cotton embroidery. The emblem was adopted as the Distinctive Unit Insignia for the 16th Infantry Regiment in 1926. Difficult to say with certainty what the exact age would be, but by the construction techniques I would place at least to the WWII, possibly  prior. Toned vintage hue overall, few small spots of fraying to the fabric, missing some of the bottom fringe.
