Original era manufacture. A very nice quality gold plated medal as worn by the VFW National Aide-De-Camp in 1940. Engraved on the reverse is, "Past Commander, John Oney, Post 349, 1940". Doing a quick look on ancestry.com, I found a reference to a New Hampshire soldier, John W. Oney, who was killed in action during WWI.
