Original period manufacture. Heavy steel, 15 inch curved blade with horn grips secured with four brass rivets. The blade surface is very smooth, showing typical age staining for its age but no pitting or damage. Faint COLLINS markings, along with the model number 1005, can be seen on the reverse side of the blade. On the obverse the outline of the old COLLINS rectangular decal can be seen. Standard pattern leather scabbard with brass throat and chape is in good repair. Light age and wear.
