Original era manufacture. Standard Krag rifle bayonet which has been shortened into a knife, 6.25 inch blade with a darkened patina finish, and an 1898 date on the ricasso. The pommel and guard match in finish, and the lock assembly has been removed.Simple brown leather scabbard which is torn on each side of the throat.
