Original era manufacture. Colorado Spanish-American War service medal, named on the reverse to Aquilla E. Clark, who served as a Private in Company A of the 1st Colorado Volunteer Infantry. The medal is basically sound but the attaching pin is broken. The 1st Colorado sailed for the Philippines beginning in June of 1898 with the last contingent arriving in November of that year. The 1st Colorado saw considerable service against both the Spanish and later, the Insurrectos during their time in the Philippines. Excellent research potential.
