Original era manufacture. A basically sound, black leather .38 revolver holster made at Rock Island Arsenal 1892-96. The holster is complete, the body is not crushed, stitching is sound, and the bottom plug is intact. The leather surface exhibits some flaking and crazing but no dry rot is visible. The closure flap is very pliable, and the US oval is very pronounced.
