Original era manufacture. Avery fine example of a .38 caliber revolver holster in black leather with a very nice finish to the leather surface.Faint markings can be seen on the closure flap of Rock Island Arsenal and the inspector's initials of E.H.S. andon the flap tip, C.A.O..The holster bodyis not crushed, the leather remaining very pliable, with the stitching being strong and tight, and there are no flaking issues to the leather surface. Wide belt loop to fit over the web cartridge belt.
