Original era photography. Cabinet style mount of a National Guard soldier wearing his five-button fatigue coat, campaign hat and what appears to be khaki canvas trousers. On his collars can be seen the Laidley pattern marksman insignia. Identified and dated on ther reverse, December 1898.
