Original period photography. A large format, sepia tone image of the wreck of the battleship USS Maine in Havana Harbor. The image dates from 1898, later after the end of the Spanish-American War, the wreck of the Maine was refloated, her remaining dead removed, with the hulk towed out to deep waters and ceremoniously scuttled in 1912.  Mount measures roughly 5x8.5 inches.
