Original era photography. A wonderfully clear image of four US Navy sailors, one of whom is holding a pet cat. The hat being worn by the sailor on the lower left bears the tally USS Isla de Luzon, a captured Spanish ship from the battle of Manila Bay. The man behind him wears a sling cradling an injured arm. At the bottom of the image is a Hong Kong photographers name, Pun Lun. The Royal Spanish Navy ship Isla de Luzon suffered light damage during the battle, and was scuttled in shallow water. She was later raised by the US Navy and sent to Singapore for a refit. She served the US Navy until 1920 when she was sold.
