Original era manufacture. Small pattern tan canvas haversack with original leather strap. This example has had a small brass S-hook attached to the D ring to allow the haversack to be attached to a cartridge belt. Original unit stencil on the flap for Company E, 2nd Infantry Regiment.  Normal age and wear, with the cover stained from service use.
