Original era manufacture. Tinned steel, two piece meatcan of a circular design, a pattern of which little is known.Bannerman had these for sale in his 1925 sales catalog, identified as US Army late pattern mess pans, 8.5 inches, price...fifty cents.  Normal age and wear, no corrosion, shallow scattered denting to the surface.
