Original era manufacture. A private purchase enlisted coat with a five button front and three cuff buttons on each sleeve. Decorative Infantry white piping on the inside front flap, and written on the inside of each cuff is "Co.D.3rd Ga. Inf. USV."Full body and sleeve lining, no real moth issues to report, some wear to the ends of the cuffs, and a curious missing square of material on the inside, perhaps the removal of the original owners name. Small size, about a 36.The 3rd Georgia went to Cuba in January of 1899, serving for two months until returning to the US. They suffered the loss of 25 men to disease and one to an accident.
