Original era photography and Documents. An interesting grouping to a soldier who served with the 4th Missouri Infantry during the Spanish American War, and later in the Philippine Insurrection. The lot includes two original photos of him in uniform, a copy photo taken in PI, 3 original documents, and a large assortment of copies of other documents pertaining to his service. Lots of potential for further research. He enlisted in the 4th Missouri in April of 1898, and received his discharge from same in January 1899. He then enlisted in the US 28th Infantry Regiment in October 1899, and served with that regiment in the Philippines, and was discharged from that service in 1901.During his time in the Philippines he saw combat in several battles and skirmishes with the Insurrectos, details of which are noted on the reverse of his discharge.
