Original era manufacture. A sound example of one of the many styles of issue cup the US Army experimented with in the years 1885-1910. Although I am not aware of the exact model this cup represents, I feel that it is one of the early patterns,due to its style and construction materials.The cup is made of steel, with a rolled lip, and a one-piecebody. The handle is riveted in place, with the letters U.S. clearly impressed on the curve. The cup is sound, minor surface corrosion, with minor denting, no holes.
