Original era manufacture. Pair of gilded brass crossed rifles, 1 over NY, with a ribbed design often referred to as false embroidery. The 1st New York Infantry was mustered into Federal Service in 1898, and was sent to San Francisco, and ultimately Honolulu where they engaged in Garrison duty.
