Item #63919 : Original era manufacture. A classic, large pattern chevron, worn by Electrician Sergeants, generally assigned to Coastal Artillery emplacements 1899-1902. An example of this pattern chevron is discussed on pages 158-159, in W.K. Emerson's book, "US Army Soldiers and their Chevrons". These were the high-tech men of the era, with Congress authorizing a cadre of 100 men to serve on Post NCO staff. Scarce rate, single only. Wear to the surface as shown.
