Original era manufacture. A beautiful gold and enameled medal of the Military Order of Foreign Wars; an organization founded in 1894. On the reverse of the suspension loop is an engraved membership number, 475, likely a low, early membership number, as the example illustrated in American Society Medals by Bishop & Elliott, figure 134, with World War Clasp is numbered 922. Original ribbon and suspension bar, beautiful condition with no damage.
