Original era manufacture. A scarce example of the special cartridge belt used by the US Navy and USMC when armed with the Lee Straight-Pull rifle, caliber 6 mm. Woven blue canvas belt with 12 magazine pockets covered with black pebble grain leather flaps. Steel flap retaining studs and brass fittings. The leather flaps are in deplorable condition due to age and improper storage during the past century. The C wire closure buckle attachment has been moved back to the body of the belt but can be easily moved. The blue canvas is in sound condition, no rot in evidence. Rare belt.
