Original era manufacture. A very nice example of a field recovered Union enlisted buckle, which is complete with its attaching hooks and prong,and lead filling. Dark plumpatina to the brass.Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old localWWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
