Original era manufacture. Removable white top, with a multi-piece construction, sterling marked, officers quality EGA. Wool covered visor with gold wire embroidery worn by USMC officers Major to Colonel. Light age and wear, size 7. There is a name tag inside the hat, which upon doing some research on the former owner, discovered that the Major earned the Bronze Star and several Purple Hearts during his tours in Vietnam. In addition, a very interesting aspect of his early life became known, he was the child actor whose voice was used for Bambi. Cool story..
