Original era issue. A very interesting relief participant's ribbon, produced prior to America's entry into WWI in April 1917. The suspension bar is a horizontal pin in the shape of a sword, with Hindenburg's profile in the guard. Black-white-red silk ribbon with faded gilt lettering. Small Iron Cross at the bottom. Normal age and wear.
