Original period manufacture. Faded red wool felt number1 on an olive wool background. Normal age and wear. The 1st Infantry Division was comprised of Regular Army troops, and was the first to arrive in France in 1917. During the war its soldiers earned five Medals of Honor, and suffered over 20,000 casualties. The Big Red One.
