Original era manufacture. This well-worn uniform set appears to have survived the Trenches of France, with it being worn during oil changes on a dozen or so Liberty Trucks. The insignia is what stands out on the uniform, being a multi-piece 31st Division SSI on the left shoulder and a very unusual Wagoner Engineer rate on the right sleeve. Honorable Discharge and 6 Month Overseas stripe on the left sleeve, Engineer & US collar discs. The uniform exhibits extreme wear and soiling, with moth damage and fabric tears in evidence. Missing three of the front closure buttons, we added original replacement buttons, which can be found in the right upper pocket. The 31st Division sailed for France in the Fall of 1918 but never entered the line. The 106th Engineers provided divisional support.
