Original era manufacture. US produced M1917 steel helmet with liner and partial strap.On the front of the helmet is a handpainted 32nd Red Arrow Division emblem, and around the crown of the helmet, painted in black, are the battle honors; Meuse-Argonne, Oise-Aisne, Aisne-Marne. The liner is loose, and the chinstrap is in poor condition.Included with the helmet from the same estate is a period document displaying the achievements of the Red Arrow Division in 1918. Also, a decorative wall plaque with a three-dimensional design of the Red Arrow set on a pair of overseas stripes. A nice grouping from a hard-fighting American Infantry division in WWI.
