Original era photography. A card mounted image displaying a Son In Service Flag from WWI. Four stars and one Red Cross, which quite possibly indicates a daughter in the Red Cross. The bottom star has a bold outline compared to the remaining three, which may mean a silver or gold star, for wounding or death. The image measures 6.5 x 4.5 inches, the mount 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Service Flag, A.H. Withington, Newton Centre Mass. 1917-1918. Unusual subject matter.
