Original era manufacture. Standard pattern M1917 steel helmet with a handpainted 78th Division emblem on its side. Complete liner (one side is loose) and fragments of its chinstrap. The 78th fought in the St.Mihiel & Meuse-Argonne offensives and suffered the loss of over 7,000 casualties during WWI.
