Original era manufacture. Standard pattern M1917 steel helmet with a rough combat finish. Handpainted 91st Division emblem on the helmet's front.  liner and a  complete chinstrap. During WWI the 91st fought in the St.Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne battles. The underside of the liner is maker marked R.H. Long and is dated 1917.
