Original era manufacture. Cotton embroidery on blue wool, measures 60 x 67 mm. The 79th Division served in France during WWI, arriving in July 1918. It fought in the Meuse-Argonne offensive, earning the sobriquet of the Cross of Lorraine Division.It suffered the loss of over6,800 casualties, with the sad distinction of one of its soldiers being the last American killed in the war.Normal age and wear.
